Large images for a very close look

In the slide show at the top the images in the order of their appearance are: “Poseidon,” “Afterlife,” a detail of “Afterlife,” “Involutions,” then two details of “Involutions.” Then “Somnambulism” followed by six details of “Somnambulism.”
At the fourth row is “Silent Witness” followed by two details. Then “Talisman” also followed by two details. Then “The Deep” with a detail of same. Then comes “And Death Shall Have No Dominion” with a detail. Then “Vessel of Spirit” with two details. Then three images of “Water Planet”
In the last three rows there appears, first an image of “Seal of Solomon” (recently sold), followed by four detail images. Then a rendering of the “Greatest Name” in traditional form, an untitled work from the collection of Megan Norton. Then “Eye of Ra.”
“The Albatross” from the collection of “Richard Sharkey” and “Pyramid Power” from the collection of Rosemary Orlando are next, and last is an image of a collage of the “Ring Symbol” which I have decided to retain for my personal collection.

My primary medium is oil color
on canvas or oil color on fine
linen mounted on board. I use
large areas of modeled color in
a high key. I use a hard-edge
technique of elaborately cut
masking in conjunction with
high contrast photography.
I am committed to doing all
phases of the work myself from
the construction of stretchers
to custom designed framing.
I do all the photography and
darkroom work myself.
Initially a painting may begin
with an interesting image or
geometric design. Literary
sources can provide a thematic
unity to the work even when
those sources become abstracted
to the point of being undectable.
Sometimes a painting may evolve in the creative process and in the
end retain little relation to its first
state. Sometimes paintings are
preplanned and then rendered
without change.
I also work in the mediums of
intaglio, collage, serigraphy,
ceramics and installation.
